The shape of success

Gennaio

The road to a good result leads to a fork in the road: the dark forest full of danger or the road paved with golden tiles.

The wolf has no preference.

Going into the woods we will be alert to dangers and will be more cautious. On the golden paved road, on the other hand, we will be quicker, at the risk of forgetting about the lurking wolf.

What is certain is that there is no road to popularity without obstacles. Difficulties and critical issues must be addressed and resolved by every available means. The sooner a solution is found, the faster the path becomes familiar.

Remember, however, that in the diagram of success the straight line points from 45° upwards, the way is always upwards. When it goes down we speak of a negative outcome, no longer of success.

Allegories of triumph

Speaking in metaphors:

A well-built house rests on a solid foundation, dug deep into the ground, on which the tallest and strongest building in the world can be built.

The roots of trees extend under the earth with the same breadth as the foliage above ground to ensure their stability against all sorts of atmospheric agents.

What we see of the icebergs floating in the sea is only a small portion compared to what lies below sea level.

Organising outcomes

It can be said that for the creation of a long-lived and successful organisation, one must develop organisational knowledge and manage a system of procedural rules useful to make sense of past experiences and be able to make predictions for the future.

Many only look at results and work on those. We must realise that every cog in the process has been crucial to success. Everything must be 'oiled' again, malfunctions that could slow down our production process must be avoided.

As the quality of relationships increases, the quality of thinking improves, leading to an increase in the quality of actions and results. Achieving high quality results has a positive effect on the quality of relationships, driving the engine of success to even better performance.
